CODA

A novel-in-progress

Alissa is 19 and going deaf.

Feeling lost, she leaves college and moves back to Western Massachusetts. When she starts working at the local food co-op, she meets Lance, a CODA: Child of Deaf Adults. As he begins to teach her sign language, a friendship forms, and then a complicated romance. At the heart of CODA is a question: when is it best to speak, and when is it best to stay silent?

Bumping Uglies

A sex podcast

LET’S TALK ABOUT SEX.

From 2017 to 2019, I hosted a podcast about sex and sexuality called “Bumping Uglies.” I interviewed friends across the gender spectrum about their unique perspectives on sex. Topics ranged from LARP sex to growing up in the Mormon church.
